Description
As a result of the extensive range of tasks performed by a CANDU nuclear plant's staff, supervisors often have difficulty quickly determining who is qualified to work in a specific area or to perform a particular task. The Task Qualification System (TQS) was developed for the Point Lepreau Generating Station (PLGS) to address this problem. TQS acquires its data from Training Management System (TMS), a SQL Server database system located on the PLGS computer network. Custom reports showing staff qualifications are available from all departmental supervisors PC's. These reports can also be downloaded to PDAs or other hand-held computers for portable display.
