Phenomenological analysis of processes of hadron-induced production of particles with large p/sub T/ in QCD
Description
A study is made of quantum-chromodynamical corrections to the pointlike power asymptotic behavior of processes of particle production at large transverse momenta for an arbitrary scattering angle. Quark counting rules of anomalous dimensions are formulated for arbitrary scattering angles; these determine logarithmic corrections to the cross sections for production of jets and single particles. These rules are used to obtain a parameter-free solution of the p-4/sub T/ problem, which determines the degree of scaling violation in inclusive hadronic cross sections. The experimental situation is analyzed on the basis of the theoretical results which are obtained
