Description
The hadron spectrum is calculated in the quenched approximation for SU(3) lattice gauge theory with a renormalization group improved action the form of which has been obtained previously by a block spin renormalization group study. The lattice size is 83 x 16 and β = 2.4. The critical value of the hopping parameter is estimated to be Ksub(c) = 0.156 (1). When the masses of π and p are fitted, the masses of proton and Δ are still larger than the real values. However the mass difference between them is much larger than that obtained so far for the standard model and is close to the real mass difference. (orig.)
