Specific heat of the quadrupolar system TmAg2
Creators
- 1. Laboratoire L. Neel, CNRS, BP 166, 38042, Grenoble Cedex 9 (France)
Description
TmAg2 was recently proved to be an archetype of tetragonal compounds quadrupolarly ordered. It undergoes at 5 K a ferroquadrupolar ordering within the orthorhombic symmetry. The study of the specific heat anomaly at 5 K as well as of the broad Schottky anomaly confirms all the previous conclusions. ((orig.))
