An approach to the suppression of baseline distortions in multidimensional NMR experiments

  • 1. Institute of Scientific Instuments of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Brno (Czech Republic)

Description

The baseline distortions problem in NMR spectra is considered. The application of the delayed-focus pulse developed by Freeman et al. and of its time inverted counterpart as preparation and mixing 90o pulses in the evolution period of multidimensional NMR experiments is described. The basic advantage of this approach, compared with the use of a 90o - 180o - 90o sequence is considerably lower demand on the peak RF power
