Description
To better visualize the effects of the solvent on the observed spin-spin coupling constants (SSCCs) measured in NMR spectroscopy, we investigated some organomercury compounds in which significant solvent-induced changes in the coupling constants of directly bound C-Hg nuclei are observed. The difference in the values SSCC of these coupling constants in various solvents reached up to 20% of the values SSCC of the coupling constants themselves, which allows a more thorough study of the features of the dependence of the coupling constants on the physicochemical properties of the solvent.
