Experience with maintenance of V-1 power plant primary circuit components

The system is described of the training of maintenance workers. Training begins prior to assembly when they are acquainted with documentation, and continues during assembly and during the first and second revisions. Examples are given of the modification of various components at these stages of construction, implemented with the aim of improving conditions for maintenance and repair in future operation. Also described are special tools developed for facilitating and speeding up maintenance and repair work at the V-1 nuclear power plant. Special attention is devoted to maintenance problems of the primary circuit during reactor shutdown for refueling, and to possibilities of using computers in repair and maintenance activities. (Z.M.)
