Cross sections for the 6Li(p,3He)4He reaction at energies between 0.1 and 3.0 MeV

Description
Absolute differential and total (integrated) cross sections for the 6Li(p,3He)4He reaction at proton energies between approx.0.14 and 3 MeV are presented, and compared with previous measurements. The results comprise a consistent set of data over much of the energy range of interest to a number of applications. Thermonuclear reaction rate parameters and astrophysical S factors are calculated. The measured angular distributions are compared to predictions of a preliminary R-matrix analysis based on the nuclear properties of energy levels in the mass-7 system
