These are difficult times for the development of cogeneration in the Netherlands while it appears that cogeneration is and will not be as efficient as expected, mainly due to a decrease of the price for electricity. Still, according to the author, there is a future for the combined generation of power and heat, provided that regulations are improved and well thought out
