Radiotherapy of operable carcinoma of the breast
Creators
Description
The results of radiotherapy of carcinoma of the breast are discussed, in relation to avoiding amputation. The effects are comparable for small tumours (0-2 cm) and improvements in technique, such as high dose local irradiation using iridium 192 implantation, appear to make radiotherapy a comparable treatment for larger tumours.
