Can we be happy with the safety at Dounreay
Creators
Description
A recent BBC programme which discussed the alleged loss of two plutonium pins from the UKAEA's fast reactor at Dounreay is considered and the UKAEA's reaction to the programme discussed. It is felt that the importance of the programme lay in its examination of the operator's systems of controls and it is stressed that there should be two levels of such controls - one for the experts and one for the public.
