Studies on the isotopic exchange kinetics in the [Cr(NH3)2(NCS)4]--N14CS- system
Description
Isotopic exchange kinetics in the /Cr(NH3)2(NCS)4/--N14CS- system has been studied. The exchange was found to proceed with measurable rates, the reaction order with respect to the complex being 1, whereas that with respect to the ligand -0.5. The activation energy and activation entropy have been determined and the exchange reaction mechanism obtained from the kinetic data has been suggested. Variations of the activation entropy were found to influence significantly the exchange rate. (author)
