Ground state description in the frame of self-consistent theories

Description

In the past few years, the mean field approximation has been successfull in reproducing the global properties of nuclei. However, it is necessary to go beyond D.D.H.F. in order to explain some details (isotope shifts, the precise trend of the experimental charge distribution). The aim of the study presented here, is to calculate the ground state correlation effects on the nucleon distributions and the related quantities. These correlations are calculated in the framework of the R.P.A. theory. We emphasize that our calculations are completely self-consistent. The applications are done on 40Ca, 48Ca and 208Pb

Abstract (French)

Ces annees passees, l'approximation du champ moyen calcule avec des forces qui dependent de la densite (D.D.H.F.) a permis de reproduire avec succes un grand nombre de proprietes globales des noyaux. Cependant, en vue d'expliquer certains details (deplacements isotopiques, l'allure des densites de charge 'experimentales' extraites de l'analyse des donnees de la diffusion d'electrons, etc...) il est indispensable d'aller au-dela de l'approximation D.D.H.F. Le but de l'etude presentee dans cet expose est precisement de calculer les effets des correlations dans l'etat fondamental. Ces correlations sont calculees dans le cadre de la theorie R.P.A. Les applications portent sur les noyaux 40Ca, 48Ca et 208Pb
