Multicrystal section imaging device and its data processing

Description
A multicrystal-section imaging system suitable for brain scans has been constructed. High counting efficiency is combined with a spatial resolution of 13 mm at the center of the patient's head. The system is also applicable to scintigraphy of the liver. A one-dimensional convolution method has been developed for image reconstruction. The process involves a smoothing effect based on a gaussian filter; the degree of smoothing is controlled by changing a parameter of the correction function
