Resolution of the U(1) problem by lattice gauge theory
Description
The paper examines the solution of the U(1) problem by lattice gauge theory. An approximation is discussed which makes the problem accessible to calculations in pure gauge theory, without dynamical fermions. Results of SU(3) lattice calculations are reviewed, and the results are presented as the resolution of the U(1) problem. (U.K.)
