U Resource Inventory On Upper Kayuara Sector, West Kalimantan, Systematic Prospection

Description

Based on Prospection of BATAN-CEA, 1976, was discovered several out crop and boulder radiometric anomalies The mineralizations were estimated direction N 50 degree E, The aim of this prospection wax to understand the interconnected between geological condition and mineralizations distribute The prospection method used soils, out crops and boulders radiometric measurement as grid system with 25 m interval and 10 m with direction N 50oE and 10 m to N 40oE, the observation of geological aspect, tectonic elements, mineralogy, and analysis of the total U grade Test pit dissected out crop was made at several interesting anomalies. The mineralization of uranium was found inside part of fault zone as vein shape with milimetric-centimetric thickness with direction N280oE, N150E, -nd N50o, and also several boulder anomalies founded at rivers, valleys and hill crests The area of prospection were arranged by serisitic quarzite and fillite The radioactive minerals were uraninite, autonite, gumite and monazite The total uranium grade at the rock samples were 36,5 ppm - 7190 ppm, The mineralization of uranium was found spot, except in south of prospection area was accumulated and associated by sulphate minerals, so it was suggested to continued prospection with IP geophysic method to understand the vertical extension
