The numerical method of laser induced vaporization of metal
- 1. Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, Beijing, BJ (China)
Description
For numerical solution of laser induced vaporization of metal, it is necessary to investigate calculation method of fluid dynamics including phase transition. Because the vaporization zone is movable with time, so that, this problem is different from general fluid dynamics with a moving zone. The authors consider the energy deposition as zone deposition. According to the conditions of first class phase transition, outside the vaporization zone, they adapt the von Neumann method. For inert the vaporization zone, another method is used. They have established the program named LHAP-IDVG, in which this method is applied. The results of a lot of calculations indicate that this method is successful
