Description

Electron Auger spectroscopy method is used to study kinetics of O2 chemisorption on [110], [100], [111] low-index faces of Fe-36 at.% Ni alloy before and after 5 keV argon ion bombardment with 1015-1017 cm-2 doses at O2 exposures up to 5000 L in the temperature range 20-300 deg C. It is stated that kinetics of chemisorption on nonirradiated crystals at room temperature depends on their orientation, and after ion bombardment bacomes practically isotropic. At 300 deg C anisotropy in kinetics of chemisorption on irradiated crystals recovers
