Simulation of integrated control and protection system on steam generated system of nuclear power plant

Description

Simulation of integrated control and protection system on steam generated system of nuclear power plant was studied. The simulation software of nuclear power plant type CANDU-9 was applied in this simulation. Nuclear steam generating system is a system of reactor to produce steam with high temperature and pressure. The steam produce in steam generator flows to the turbine, and steam passes to the condenser where then retuned to the steam generator. Therefore control on steam generating system is important steam generator level control is one of control system . On route to the turbine steam travel through several valves, i.e. safety valves, emergency stop valves, governor valves. In this case the malfunction of feedwater large control valve 101 (LCV 101) is selected. From this simulation the reactor parameter affected by that malfunction is known. It is also considered that turbine trip is the one action to maintain safety of nuclear power plant operation
