Model with solitons in (2+1) dimensions
- 1. Durham Univ. (United Kingdom). Dept. of Mathematics
Description
We consider various models in (2+1) dimensions which possess soliton-like solutions. We discuss the additional terms that must be added to the conventional S2 model in order that its solutions are stable and so can be treated as solitons. The role of various terms is analysed and some properties of the solitonic solutions are discussed. (orig.)
