A new dilute chemical formulation for decontamination of PHT system surfaces of PHWRs
- 1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India). Applied Chemistry Division
Description
A new dilute chemical decontamination formulation consisting of an aromatic complexant and a reductant has shown promise for effective dissolution of magnetite at 50 and 80 degC in the pH range 2.6-4.0. It has also shown good radiation stability as well as low corrosive attack on different alloys in the primary heat transport (PHT) systems of PHWRs. (author). 4 refs., 1 fig., 1 tab
