Development of a computer control system for 3.0 MeV high frequency high voltage electron accelerator

Description
A PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based control system for 3.0 MeV high frequency high voltage electron accelerator (HFHVEA) was presented. An energy feedback control circuit was introduced to stabilize the output energy and its stability is less than 1% of the rated value of accelerator energy. The scanning current always tracks output energy of the HFHVEA. It is convenient for diagnosing and analyzing failure of the HFHVEA. (authors)
