Welding and testing of the pressure vessels and top part of the Superphenix reactor
Description
These constructions are large size, thin walled structures. The pressure vessels are made of stainless steel and the top closures of ferritic steel. The joints were made either by automatic submerged arc welding or by shielded metal arc welding. According to the types of structures or joints, two or three testing methods were used (penetrant, radiographic and U.S. testing)

Ces structures sont de grandes dimensions et de faible epaisseur. Les cuves sont en acier ferritique. Les assemblages ont ete realises soit en soudage automatique sous flux solide, soit en soudage manuel a l'electrode enrobee.
