Structural mechanism of anomalous plasticity in steel with metastable austenite
Description
Regularities of strain-induced substructure development in Fe-Ni, Fe-Mn metastable steels as well as in trip-steels of 30N8Kh8G2M4 type are established. Anomalously high plasticity in steels is shown to be conditioned by combined effect of uniform sliding (under the conditions of low energy of stacking faults and difficulty of cross dislocation sliding), microtwinning and martensite transformations with optimum intensity ensuring formation of disperse martensite crystals by most favourable systems of shift
