Description
A search for two-photon emission from 2S states of low-Z muonic atoms has been made. Intrinsic Ge detectors were positioned around target of Li, Be, B, or their hydrides, or a vessel containing B2H6, H2, or O2. Upper limits on the fraction of stopping muons which formed metastable 2S states range from approx.= 10-3 to 10-5. (orig.)
