Creators

Description

Ionizing radiation effects in delay of cell division, resulting in stoppage of cells in the phase G1, moderation of passing through the phase S or blocking in the phase G2. Two main mechanisms can be responsible for the effect: change in the level of cycline B and activation by dephosphorylation of tyrosine groups in kinase p 34/cdc 2. The effect has been investigated on example of HeLa cells of rats fibroblasts transformed by on cogenes and kidney cells of Syrian hamster. 20 refs, 9 figs
