  • 1. Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center, Ministry of Environmental Protection, Beijing (China)

Description

IAEA issued, in 2005, Radiation Protection Aspects of Design for Nuclear Power Plants (No. NSG 1.13). This guide emphasized the concepts, such as the application of optimization principle, optimization culture, and strategy for optimization in design, introduced the radioactive source terms in decommissioning, nuclides important for doses to members of the public, and raised the concepts, such as safety target, critical group, and human resources. These are instructive for the revision of China's Radiation Protection Design for Nuclear Power Plants (HAD102/12). (authors)
