Pulse mode of a magnetic-plasmadynamic accelerator

Description

Layout of the pulse electric power supply for magnetoplasmadynamic accelerator with 0.4-10 kHz frequency is described. The accelerator operation mode may be stationary, modulated or pulsed ones depending on the layout parameters. Pulsed mode of the accelerator operation was studied experimentally. The values of maximum particle concentration in plasma bunches injected by the accelerator and mean mass velocity, which are equal to (1-3)x10-19 m-3 and 10-20 km/s respectively, were determined by means of probing measurements
