Description

Using an effective-field theory with correlations we study a two-sublattice diluted mixed spin 1/2 and spin-1 Ising ferrimagnet with fluctuating exchange interactions. It is shown for the system with coordination number z = 3 that the temperature dependence of the magnetizations is essentially influenced by the concentration of the components and fluctuations of the exchange interactions. Depending on these parameters, there may be zero, one or two compensation temperatures, where the magnetizations of the two subsystems just compensate each other in magnitude. (Author)
