Description
A source-theoretical formulation of multiparticle-exchange processes which lead to single-spectral forms for vertex functions is provided. Based upon the principles of causality and space-time uniformity, generalized unitarity relations are derived using the "time-cycle" transformation through Euclidean space. This provides a general solution to the so-called "overlap" problem. The connection between the action principle and single-particle exchange is discussed.
