Description
The present status of the CERN experiment PS177 and its programme from the near future are reported. The basic ideas behind the experiment are briefly described, with particular emphasis on what is new, from both the experimental and the theoretical point of view. The aim of the experiment is to search for heavy hypernuclei in order to measure their lifetime. 12 refs
