Nozzle inservice inspection detection and characterization of undercladding cracks
Description
The C.E.A. and Intercontrole have developed a new tool to detect and characterize undercladding cracks. This tool used successfully during 3 recent inspections examines the integrality of outlet and inlet nozzles of a PWR reactor vessel in less than 72 hours. It is called M.I.T. which means Machine d'Inspection des Tubulures (nozzle inspection machine)
