71st Annual Meeting of the Austrian Physical Society

After the cancellation of the annual meeting in 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 71st annual meeting of the Austrian Physical Society take place at the Montanuniversität Leoben. It is organized jointly by the Institute of Physics and the Chair of Materials Physics of the Montanuniversität Leoben as well as the Erich Schmid Institute of the Austrian Academy of Science. The purpose of this conference is to promote physics in Austria, disseminate the results of research in physics, and bring Austrian Physicists and their international collaborators together to exchange their views. Recent research results in the following areas will be covered in parallel oral sessions within the conference: Acoustics; Atoms, Molecules, Quantum Optics, Plasmas; Condensed Matter; Energy; History of Physics; Nuclear and Particle Physics, Surfaces, Interfaces and Thin Films; Physics and Industries; Physics and School; Research Young Minds. All-together, 156 talks including 9 plenary lectures will be held, as well as two public evening events will be presented. Those contributions which are in the INIS subject scope are indexed individually. In addition, 60 posters are planned for the above-named topics from which a jury will select the three best contributions by students for poster prizes
