Diffusion coefficients in heavy ion reactions
Description
Experimental charge distributions for the reactions of xenon 136 and krypton 84 with bismuth 209 and holmium 165 are suggestive of a diffusion process and were analyzed with a Fokker-Planck equation in terms of the variance. Differential cross sections, charge distribution, interaction time, angular momentum, and diffusion coefficients for the sticking and nonsticking models are among the quantities considered.
