OSO-7 observations of Circinus X-1

  • 1. Department of Physics and Center for Space Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge

Description

We present data from six observations with the MIT X-ray detectors on the 0S0-7. The results for one 5d interval rule out the 12 d.288 binary eclipse period proposed by Jones, Tananbaum, and Giacconi for this source. The average spectrum is considerably steeper than those of the established eclipsing binaries. Subject headings: binaries - X-ray sources
