Description

Comparative investigation of electrochemical characteristics of passivation and pitting formation in corrosion-resistant steels (12Kh18N10T, 10Kh22N10T and 08Kh25AG15S) in thin phase films and in the electrolyte volume (sulfate electrolytes with pH from 1 to 6 and neutral chloride electrolytes) is made at 30 deg C and relative 100% moisture. It is shown that the thickness of the electrolyte layer can affect the passivation processes and under certain conditions on kinetics of pitting development
