Method of changing parameters in RF ferrite-dominated cavity

Description

This paper presents the results on the experimental study of compensating the inductance impedance for a ferrite-dominated cavity. The method consists in introducing additional short circuit loops in the RF magnetic field of the cavity. The correlation between the parameters of the cavity and loops is described. The method allows one to make a new insight into the feasibility to optimize the parameters of RF ferrite-dominated cavities. The idea has been implemented for cavity of the IHEP PS. 6 refs
