Description
All available World burn-out data for vertical, uniformly heated round tubes, with liquid water inlet, have been compiled and are presented in systematic order. A total of 4,389 experimental results is recorded, covering a very extensive range of parameters. Detailed examination of these data over the years has indicated a number of inconsistencies and these are discussed. The majority of the data fall into four main pressure groups: 560, 1000, 1550 and 2000 p.s.i.a., and accurate correlations of these data are presented together with error distribution histograms and graphical aids to rapid calculation of burn-out flux.
