The beta decay of sup(88g)Nb and sup(88m)Nb
Description
The level structure of 88Zr is investigated via the beta decay of sup(88g)Nb and sup(88m)Nb whose half-lives are measured to be 14.4+-0.2 m and 7.7+-0.1 m, respectively. The decay properties are studied by means of beta and gamma spectroscopy techniques. The level structure of 88Zr populated in the decays of both isomers is proposed with deduced Jsup(π) values. The β-decay energies for sup(88g)Nb and sup(88m)Nb are measured to be 7.55+-0.10 and 7.59+-0.10 MeV, respectively. The structure is discussed in terms of the shell model. (orig.)
