Notch ductility of Alloy 800 for liquid metal fast breeder reactor steam generator

Description

The grade selected for the manufacture of heat-exchange tubes for fast breeder reactor steam generators is an Ni Fe Cr alloy (Z 4 NC 33.21). This choice is vindicated by the operating characteristics of this material. Are in particular studied: the alloy mechanical properties (low temperature creep - 500 to 6000C), the internal stress relaxation, the determination of the alloy ductility at low and medium temperatures, the precipitation of intermetallic phases, the structure to product thermomechanical history relationship

Abstract (French)

Les tubes d'echange d'un type de generateur de vapeur de reacteurs surregenerateurs de grande puissance, ont ete choisis en alliage Ni Fe Cr (Z 4NC 33.21). Ce choix est justifie par les proprietes d'usage de cette nuance. En particulier, on etudie les proprietes mecaniques de l'alliage (fluage a basse temperature - 500 a 6000C), la relaxation des contraintes, la determination de la ductilite de l'alliage a basse et moyenne temperature, la precipitation de phases intermetalliques, la liaison entre les structures observees et l'histoire thermo-mecanique des produits
