High-enriched fuel parts of control assemblies installation in WWER-440

Description
The reactivity margin necessary for maitenance of nominal power level during increased time period between WWER-440 reactor fuelings may be provided by introduction of fuel parts into control fuel assemblies with enrichment increased as compared with the design one. Test of this proposal availability has been made under conditions of commercial operation at Novo-Voronezh and Kola NPPs. The investigations have shown that the use of control fuel assemblies with fuel parts of increased enrichment in the WWER-440 reactor core does not lead to prohibitive variations in normal operational conditions
