Hydrogen in Northern Germany. It all depends on the political framework
Description
Northern Germany has the potential to develop into a central hydrogen hub within Europe and thus make a decisive contribution on the way to Germany's energy sovereignty. Only if H2 self-production succeeds on a significant scale will the risks in terms of security of supply be calculable. In order to be able to actually use the corresponding locational advantages - high potential for green electricity from wind power, sufficient freshwater capacity for electrolysers, cavern storage, maritime infrastructure - an appropriate political framework is indispensable.
Abstract (German)
Additional details
