Ion beam channel for an accelerator with its pumping system

Description

The invention refers to accelerator technique, particularly, to the systems of synchrotron vacuum chamber (ion beam channel) pumping, simultaneously providing for electromagnetic shielding of preaxial region of ion beam channel, and can be used when designing cyclic accelerators and storage rings. The invention is aimed at increasing the accelerated particle beam intensity and reducing energy and current losses at the expense of an optimal choice of the size of a gap between butt-joint sections of ion beam channel and installation in the gap absorbing elements, reducing notably the HF-linking between the volume of T-joint body and preaxial ion beam channel region. 2 figs
