Description
A device which consists of an optical Fourier processor, a vidicon TV camera and integrated electronics was designed. This device is efficient in track counting for SSNTD, chemically as well as electro-chemically etched. The system's optical field of view covers the complete 1 x 1 cm2 detector area and the count is displayed digitally. The complete processing time per detector is 1/60 s. A detailed description of the device and the counting procedure is given. (orig.)
