Isomer ratio and activation cross section for the sup(137)Ba(n,2n)sup(136m)Ba reaction at 14.4 MeV
Description
The formation cross section of sup(136m)Ba from natural barium at 14.4+-0.3 MeV neutrons has been measured with sup(207m)Pb as a monitor. The cross section for the (n,2n) reaction, leading to the formation of sup(136m)Ba, was theoretically calculated from total (m+g) cross section and isomer ratio (m/g), and compared with experimentally observed formation cross section of sup(136m)Ba.
