Main features of the four nucleon interactions at medium energies and Glauber sum rules

Description
Systematic investigations of the nuclear reactions in many-nucleon systems at medium energies can be used for testing different theories and to study the quark and relativistic effects in nuclear physics. The interactions of four nucleons are investigated by measuring the elastic and quasi-elastic scattering cross sections of tritium and helium-3 projectiles in hydrogen-filled bubble chamber. The experimental data are compared with the predictions of the eikonal multiple scattering theory. The Glauber sum rules are analyzed. The admixture of six-quark bags in three-nucleon systems are estimated and the derived upper limit was found to be 5%. (D.Gy.)
