Isotopic effects in hydrogen diffusion in HfV2HxD4-x and ZrV2HxD4-x
- 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Inst. Fiziki Metallov
Description
A study was made on hydrogen isotope diffusion in HfV2 and ZrV2 intermetallic compounds with S15s structure using measurement of time of spin-lattice relaxation. It was established that activation energy of deuterium diffusion was lower as compared to hydrogen both in high-temperature (disordered) and in ordered phases of HfV2HxD4-x; ZrV2HxD4-x. The conclusion was made about the absence of strong correlation of diffusion motion of different hydrogen isotopes in investigated compounds. Diffusion of each isotope preserved its own character
