Hazard and protection from tritium produced in an experimental reactor loop

Description
The distribution of tritium produced from 3He in a power-cycling system and the ways in which operators might be exposed to released tritium have been analyzed. It is concluded that dose-equivalent limits would only be exceeded if coincidently, normal procedures were not followed, several protective devices failed and monitor alarms were ignored. (author)
