Description
In this paper a theoretical model has been developed that explains the existence of electron-acoustic-like double layers driven by an ion beam. Important aspect of the model is that a compressive type of electron-acoustic-like double layers solution has been obtained instead of refractive type in the presence of an electron beam as obtained by Sutradhar and Bujarbarua (1988).
