Radioactive waste products; Some questions their introductions in glasses and opportunities of use

  • 1. Institute of Radiation Problems, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Baku (Azerbaijan)

Description

Full text: By analogy to radio luminescent radiators (radioactive substance plus luminescing substance) used as independent energy sources an opportunity of application for these purpose of glasses is considered. Glasses are characterised by optical stability and luminescing under influence radiation. Compositions phosphatic, borosilicate glasses the most suitable for introduction in them of radioactive waste products are resulted. Compositions cerium-and stiffeners glasses their optical stability and luminescent characteristics under action gamma and gamma neutron (reactor) are investigated
